Three things every child gets

Faith

Qur’an and character

Recitation, memorisation, understanding and good character for every child, taught in a way every Muslim family can share. A scholars’ panel oversees it.

Learning

An academic core at their own pace

Mornings are for the academic core. It adapts to your child, so they move at their own pace.

Enterprise

Every child runs a real business

Each term, the team sells, builds, tests and grows a real venture, and gives to charity from what it earns. Children learn honest selling and fair contracts by doing them, and learn charity by giving.

Why we are building it

Many families in Dubai face the same choice: a strong academic school or a faith-centred one.

We want both for our children.

PLUS the confidence that comes from building something real.

A week at Ummah Next

A simple picture of the school day.

  1. Morning

    Memorisation circle

The day opens with recitation and memorisation in a small circle.

  2. Morning

    Maths at their own pace

The adaptive academic core lets each child move on when ready, or take more time.

  3. Dhuhr and Asr

    Prayer in congregation

Dhuhr and Asr are each prayed in congregation, at their own time. The lesson under way when the adhan is called finishes, then everyone prays.

  4. Afternoon

    The venture

The team designs a product, sells it, counts the profit and gives to charity from its earnings.

Real projects. Real businesses.

Ideas don’t stay on paper. Each term, the team turns one into a venture with real customers and real profit.

How it works

Diploma
An American high school diploma issued by an accredited US online school that we partner with. Older students will sit Advanced Placement (AP) exams, set by the US College Board and taken in Dubai. They give an external exam grade for entry into universities in the UK and elsewhere.
Studios
Mixed-age studios of about 15 children, each led by a guide. The first studio will be in Dubai; we are currently scouting locations.
Leadership
A school director runs the school. A head of learning leads teaching. A scholars’ panel oversees the Qur’an and Islamic-ethics core.
Prayer
Prayer is built into the day. Dhuhr and Asr are each prayed in congregation, at their own time. A lesson is never cut short: the lesson under way when the adhan is called finishes, then everyone prays.
Opening
Planned for September 2027, with a founding cohort of 40 children aged {ages}.
Permits
We are confirming the permit route with KHDA, Dubai’s education regulator, before we open. We will open only with the right permit in place, and deposits are fully refundable if we don’t.

Fees and founding families

The planned fee is AED 45,000 a year, with sibling discounts and bursaries.

Questions and answers

Who is setting up the school?

A group of Muslim education and entrepreneurship professionals who are passionate about nurturing the next generation of Muslim entrepreneurs.

Is it licensed?

We are confirming the permit route with KHDA, Dubai’s education regulator, before we open. We will open only with the right permit in place, and deposits are fully refundable if we don’t.

What diploma will my child get?

An American high school diploma, issued by an accredited US online school that we partner with. We are choosing the partner school now and will tell registered families which one. The diploma is earned through course credits across the high school years, not one set of final exams, so the business programme sits alongside it instead of competing with exam preparation. Your child studies with their studio each day at an Ummah Next centre in Dubai: {host}.

We also plan for older students to sit Advanced Placement (AP) exams, set by the US College Board and taken in Dubai. They give an external exam grade, which universities in the UK and elsewhere usually ask for alongside an American diploma.

What ages?

{agesAnswer} Children learn in mixed-age studios of about 15, each led by a guide.

How do prayers fit into the day?

Dhuhr and Asr are each prayed in congregation, at their own time. A lesson is never cut short: the lesson under way when the adhan is called finishes, then everyone prays together.

What does it cost?

The planned fee is AED 45,000 a year, with sibling discounts and bursaries. Today we are only collecting interest. No payment is taken.
